Our in-home photo archiving service specializes in the meticulous process of digitizing your cherished photos, albums, scrapbooks, inherited family tree records, and some forms of video. Our team travels to your home and utilizes advanced imaging technologies to create high-resolution digital copies. Ensuring your memories are preserved, safeguarded from wear, tear, and unforeseen damages.
Currently available onsite in greater metro area of Indiana cities: South Bend, Fort Wayne, and Indianapolis as well as Asheville, North Carolina. We are trusted with thousands of memories, aiming to provide a reliable, professional, and convenient solution for preserving your one-of-a-kind heirlooms. We recently expanded our services to include VHS and 8mm video cassette content preservation. Additional video formats may be available upon request. Through our specialized services, Cherish My Past empowers you to unlock the stories, memories, and legacies contained within these various mediums, preserving them in digital form for future generations to cherish.

Every family is unique, so every project will be different depending on the size, quality, and organization of the collection. We strive to make it as simple as possible and have a methodical process to complete with great efficiency. We will help you design the most cost effective and high quality archiving plan that accomplishes your specific goals. As an example of what is possible, one client with 300 photos was complete within a few hours while another with 10,000 photos took four days.

We typically begin with a phone call to discuss your collection of photos, documents, video, and other precious items. If you purchase the “Memories Revived” New Client Archiving Package, we will bring our scanning equipment to your home and digitize up to 300 clean photos followed by a proposal for the rest of your collection.
Note the photo and document scanning is onsite, so no need for you to ship your precious collection anywhere. Video projects may need to be taken offsite depending on the quantity, condition, and media type.

Once the archiving process is complete, we follow the 3-2-1 backup strategy with three copies on two types of storage and one offsite location. In other words, you will have your original items plus a physical device (flash drive or external drive) plus a copy on a cloud database service. The offsite location could be achieved with a flash drive that you place in the secure location of another family member. We are not a cloud hosting service, but we will help you decide on a cost-effective option if you don’t already have one.

We are a growing family business with new service locations in our future. At this time, we are only offering onsite archiving services within a 20-30 mile radius of the greater metro markets noted on our locations tab above. For unique circumstances on a case-by-case basis, we are willing to consider new locations with agreed upon travel and per diem expenses. Note however that this includes the cost of transporting our delicate equipment.

We have a methodical process that we follow but we also offer a highly personalized service to each of our clients. If you have a unique need or challenge, just ask and we will do our best to accommodate.
