Timeless Treasures
Our Founder lost his father in 2010 and he would do anything to hear Dad’s voice again. That inspired this service that captures the memories and wisdom of your loved ones through recorded interviews of their life story…in their own voice. Have us do the work or purchase a package that walks you through the process.
Currently available onsite in greater metro area of Indiana cities: South Bend, Fort Wayne, and Indianapolis as well as Asheville, North Carolina. We have a growing list of questions in our database and will work with the family on important topics to cover. This is an excellent project done in conjunction with Memories Revived and the Ancestral Journey because we are able to use those uncovered stories to help peel back the layers of their memories. An extremely valuable service for those individuals suffering from early onset of dementia where the window of time to capture memories is shrinking or someone recently diagnosed terminally ill .
PRE-INTERVIEW CONSULTATION
Our team will meet with a key member of your family to discuss important topics of the interview. This may include a brief review of family tree records and digital scanning of photographs to be used during the interview.
INTERVIEW PREPARATION
This may be a new and intimidating concept for some people so we do our best to prepare them for a comfortable conversation. A short list of questions can be reviewed ahead of time along with some relaxing ice-breaking exercises.
SENSITIVE TOPICS
During the course of an interview, highly sensitive topics may be covered that require some editing. We will make the necessary adjustments before the final file is shared.
ADDITIONAL SESSIONS
The interview is up to 90-minutes but sometime people have a lot more to share. Additional blocks of time can be purchased to ensure that we capture the entire story that they are willing to share.
FINAL FORMAT
The interview is created on an .mp3 audio file and presented on an external drive and / or cloud-based storage service. A typed transcript is also provided as a .pdf file.

The ideal location is an onsite in-person interview but circumstances may require a recorded phone or Zoom call.

The Timeless Treasures service is designed to capture and preserve the voices and stories of your loved ones. Through recorded interviews, we help create a lasting record of their life experiences, wisdom, and unique stories in their own voice. You can choose to have us conduct the interview and handle the recording process, or opt for a coaching package that guides you through doing it yourself.

The interview questions are carefully curated to elicit rich, detailed, and meaningful responses. These can range from inquiries about their childhood, important life events, lessons learned, to their views on various aspects of life. We also welcome input from family members for specific questions you'd like us to ask. It is a dynamic process that often uncovers stories that even long-time spouses or best friends have never heard. Note that the Ancestral Journey and Memories Revived services add tremendous value to the interview process.

The length of the interview session can vary depending on the individual's comfort level and the amount of content to be covered. Typically, an interview might last between one to two hours. We aim to create a relaxed and enjoyable environment, allowing your loved one to take their time to share their stories. Some have more stories to share than others, so we do offer the flexibility of additional sessions.

The interview is recorded in .mp3 format for easy playback on most devices. The .mp3 file is stored on an external flash drive and can also be uploaded to a cloud-based storage service of your choice. A transcript of the interview may also be available for an additional fee.

We understand that not everyone is comfortable speaking at length or being recorded. We approach every interview with utmost sensitivity, ensuring that the person being interviewed feels at ease. Our coaching package provides guidance on how to create a comfortable environment and build rapport before starting the interview. Our goal is to make the experience enjoyable and meaningful for everyone involved.

This is a customizable service with packages that include:
1) a do-it-yourself option with our coaching; or
2) our Specialists completing the interview and all preparation tasks.
